Overview

NavStation’s chart service combines our on-line ChartStore, our cloud based account management, and MacENCx64 NavStation Chart Account manager to provide an end-to-end automated marine chart provisioning experience.

Account Creation is a one time step. Beginning with MacENCx64 release v9.4 and newer, the app will offer the opportunity to create your NavStation Chart Account. Subsequent installations automatically and silently connect to your chart account hosted on our cloud.

Chart account creation is completely OPTIONAL, has NO OBLIGATION, and is FREE. NavStation LLC does not share or sell your credentials nor do we use your chart account information for any purpose other than to manage chart content on your behalf.

NavStation ChartStore

The NavStation ChartStore is privately hosted on our web site exclusively for registered account holders. You access that from within MacENCx64. See the in-app or on-line help docs for details.

NavStation LLC sells and distributes S-63 encrypted, professional grade S-57 vector ENCs in partnership with ChartWorld . Check out the NavStation ChartStore Overview page to view the latest catalog, or better yet, get the app, setup your account, and visit the live ChartStore.

Behind the scenes automation

Upon your first chart purchase, our cloud services will automatically create your ChartWorld vessel/installation for your device(s). We then provision your selected charts and store the subscription ownership info in your account.

After that, MacENCx64 does the rest. When you start MacENCx64, the app checks your account for new or updated subscriptions. Silently and in the background, MacENCx64 will fetch your data, download your charts and ENC permits, unzip them, and install them into Chart Manager.

Smart in-app automatics you can control

MacENCx64 background automatics check if your Mac is connected to the internet and only then sync with the cloud services. You can control the automatic checks, download, and installation of your content depending on circumstance. Common scenarios are high-cost mobile roaming network service near shore or blue water low-bandwidth satellite service while under way. See the in-app or on-line help docs for details.
